Cover of Healthy Neighborhoods, Healthy Kids GuideThe Healthy Neighborhoods/ Healthy Kids (HN/HK) Project is a service-learning/civic engagement and project-based learning framework for students designed by Shelburne Farms’ Sustainable Schools Project in collaboration with Smart Growth Vermont. It engages students in meaningful explorations of their community, and provides teachers, students, and communities with opportunities for student-led community change.  It can be applied across K-12 grade levels as well as community settings, and is now implemented both nationally and internationally.
